Only my first listen but I’m absolutely loving this album. It’s gorgeous and elemental. I’m going to be pushing this one just as hard as I did her debut in the old place a couple of years ago.
Joining in the birthday fun! This a remarkable album, the fact that they did better several times after is no aspersion on this album, it’s remarkable, its a testament to just how bloody good Radiohead are! I love this album/era for two reasons:
One, there is absolutely no fat, every song on here could have been a single; and
Two, the b-sides are just as good. I mean they’re outstanding, Bishops Robes, Killer Cars, Talk Show Host etc etc....
Yeah so I love this albums and this band and it deserves a massive, loud and raucous birthday party!
This album is a document of some of the most perfect pop music ever written. If I was to go tomorrow I’d be happy going knowing I’d listened to “We Can Work It Out”, “Day Tripper” and “Paperback Writer” the night before.
A while back, inspired by @Selaws voyage of Dylan discovery of Dylan I set out to spin my Dylan collection. I got distracted by my decade list and new record backlog but let’s pick up with this! This is a brilliant album and this mono pressing from the MOV Dylan mono collection from 2010 is pretty damn special!
