What's Spinning

You posted this one in here a few weeks ago, and was totally intrigued by the the artist name and album title. I still dont know anything about this person/group, but the music is incredibly interesting and evocative of Something. Jazz, traditional Asian motifs, electric guitar, plastic cup percussion? I've streamed it enough now that I should just get the record already. I love this thread for exposing me to albums I would never have known about otherwise. Thanks for sharing this one @Matt M !
Glad I could help! Honestly, most of the stuff coming from International Anthem right now is pretty great so it's pretty easy to recommend.

The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

#187: Hank Mobley - Soul Station

#188: Thelonious Monk & Sonny Rollins - Thelonious Monk & Sonny Rollins

I saw you did something similar the other day. After getting the two new LPs I couldn’t help myself. My two cents regarding the Deluxe Brighten The Corners is to go for it, It sound perfect, the extras and packaging are really well done too I think the copy I ended up pay around $75 and so far worth every penny (I am currently on side 5 as I type this).

I definitely could use a copy of Brighten The Corners. Just have the first 3 albums

There's no such thing as too much Pavement!
My copy of the deluxe BtC is en route!
I also found a copy of the live album with the red cover art (black vinyl).
I don't expect to get them before the end of the month but, it's all good.
