This is the Art Vinyl version of Ladies and Gentlemen, and it has the choir on the first track with the Elvis lyrics. I also have an original press, but the AV version sounds better, and the original version of that first track is just so good with the choir. Saw this was getting a VMP press soon and couldn't help myself, I'm willing to bet the VMP version's going to sound even better-- no clue who did the pressing/mastering on the AV version.

When I was a teenager I put Sister Rosetta's O Little Town of Bethelehem on most mix tapes I made - I guess I wasn't a typical teenager! This isn't her best stuff but it's good to have it on a decent pressing. And a cross post from the challenge with fabulous Colombian accordion music.

George Braith ‎– Soul Stream (Blue Note, 1963 First Stereo Pressing)

Late to the party, but yesterday was George Braith's 81st Birthday. Braith recorded some killer releases on Blue Note (amongst other labels) and even created the Braithophone (an alto and tenor saxophone joined together with a single mouthpiece). Heres an instagram post I made if anyone is interested.

Have been watching the amazing 1994 Oasis Glastonbury gig this afternoon online on the BBC iplayer Glastonbury memorylane (for anyone interested about 100 classic Glastonbury gigs can be found there for a month from Bowie to PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Radiohead, Lady Gaga and very many more, but from abroad a VPN is needed to access).
