Sounds like something I would enjoy. I really like horror and survival type games!I'd say 9 Hours 9 Person 9 Doors is my favorite game from the east. It's more like a visual novel than a fully interactive game though.
The plot description is basically you and 8 other people wake up on this big titanic-size boat that is sinking. The boat sinks in 9 hours and you gotta get out. The characters travel through a series of escape rooms with puzzles and such, and shit continuously goes down. A lot of mystery and thriller and psychological horror elements in this one.
The gameplay structured like a less complicated choose-your-own-adventure game, and there a six endings based on what you choose. Generally the endings are tied to which escape room you choose to go in per area (there are like 3 escape rooms per area that you can choose from, and each has you going with different characters so there's replayability). There is a true ending that requires you to beat the game at least once before achieving it for thematic reasons.
The story is the best part of the game, and also the bulk of it, so if you like stories in games then that'll be a plus for you. It has the horror atmosphere of Saw but it's balanced with light-hearted stuff. The characters are really fleshed out well and likable. Without revealing too much, a big theme and presence in the game is the Morphogenetic Field. If you don't know what that is, it's a conspiracy-type thing. There's a bit about monkeys here that explains it: http://healingtraumacenter.com/what-is-a-morphogenetic-field/
The game was a commercial failure in Japan, but it was really well received in the west and kinda grew a cult following here, so they made two more games (the second being some peoples favorites, the third being pretty good.) The first game is pretty self contained if you ignore the other games though.
I wrote a lot about it so you already know I'd recommend buying it. If you're tight on cash, it was originally a DS game so it's extremely easy to emulate. The first time I played it was emulating it during school in Computer Programming class, and I think you can emulate DS games on phones now, so it's really playable wherever.
Tell us the story of how you found it again. It’s a good one.I keep wondering when this vinyl value bubble is gonna pop. These prices are pretty ridiculous...
Collection Value:*
Min $45,922.30 Med $75,224.88 Max $135,228.50
Per Discogs, my most valuable item is The Beatles Mono Box.
What is likely the most valuable record in my collection doesn't have a value in Discogs as one hasn't sold. It looks like 15 folks have it and 691 want it.
It's an original first pressing of The Doors S/T LP in mono in mega-rare white label promo form.

ooof when did those 2014 Mono Sgt Pepper's get so pricey?! a bit mad I slept on that thinking "it's been $25-30 since it came out, it'll still be $30 when I feel like buying it"...still will prolly acquire one sooner or later, knowing myself...
Such fun and interesting variation in the top dollar tiers of all your collections - even got some ABBA in here! I had no idea some of these records you're posting were so valuable!
According to Discogs, here's my top 25 by median value (I promise I listen to more than The Mars Volta lol I just have all their stuff, often in duplicates/every color variation)

That True Loves album won't be valuable for much longer - Colemine is repressing it this year (and I'm sure it'll sound better than this one, too). At the bottom of the list, cuz they never sold on the site, are an original GSL/Erika Records test pressing of TMV's Amputechture (there's only 8, way too many people claim to own this on Discogs) and 1 of 2 Flat 12 Beer filled King Gizzard's Polygondwanaland (see photo below). Other notable higher value items for me would be Manchester Orchestra/Thrice 12" covering Don't Speak/I Want You (She's So Heavy) respectively, Gamma Ray (QOTSA) debut 7", autographed Fontaines DC-Boys in the Better Land 7", Fiona's Idler Wheel (gotta get that 10" Sleep to Dream tho...) original press Screamin' Jay Hawkins-I Put a Spell on You is not cheap either...
Things I bought retail that I had no idea would get so pricey: Slipknot-Vol 3., Hendrix-Are You Experienced 2014 200g purple vinyl reissue...also a pair of 2003 Dark Side of the Moon 30th anniversary reissues (one being the first record I ever bought) are climbing up slowly but surely, too, it seems.
Not any sort of financially valuable but super high in sentimental value: Mint Royale - Show Me 12" single signed by John Richards of KEXP. It's the "Friday song" he plays every Friday morning. I got to have coffee and a station tour with him and he was nice enough to sign it for me

My dad and I both kick ourselves for not getting Wildflowers for $20 when we saw him on tour for that album. He says if he had known he would have bought out the merch tent that night. It’s my top pick for a reissue.
I guess I'm most surprised by the Toadies album. I got it for like $16 off Amazon a couple years ago.
Here’s mine sorted by Max; always laugh when I see that Hayley Heynderickx sold for 200 when a) Its not that rare and b) I bought it for like 16 euro

Sup? You might already know, but John is opening a vinyl bar with Steven from Neumos. I started a PNW thread, if you want to join in there. Might do a Seattle specific one, too, but I'm trying yo see if our numbets warrant one.
