YEAR END MEGALIST 2019

Oh man, this took me FOREVER to put together. But I love doing this every year (thanks again @Woob_woob for being our collective knowledge base). I'll have a separate metal-only list I'll put in the Metal thread but I was surprised how many of those albums made it into my top 20.

Týr's list of Utter Shenanigans
10 pt Albums
1. Suhnopfer - Hic Regnant Borbonii Manes (10)
Not only my favorite metal release of 2019, but also made it into my Top 5 overall. This thing is a brutal beast of an album!
2. Madlib & Freddie Gibbs - Bandana (10)
This album is a perfect and surreal mashup of these artists. Watching them perform live together is also such a joy.
3. Beck - Hyperspace (10)
Beck really knocked it out of the park with me on this album. If Morning Phase and Midnite Vultures had a baby, this would be it.
4. Black Pumas - Black Pumas (10)
I was introduced to this album by the JQBX crew and I could not be more thankful!
5. Blind Guardian - Legacy of the Dark Lands (10)
An album almost 20 years in the making. A wonderfully epic surprise for BG fans.

Anyone else having a really hard time making their list this year? I had a lot of favorites for just about every mood and genre, so my AOTY has been changing depending on how I feel. No single album has shined so far above the rest that it was my overall favorite. Even at the midway point, my top 10 was completely interchangeable on any given day, and that list has only grown in the second half.
