Ohhh...

favorite show was Neal Francis opening for Turkuaz which I think was the only show I went to. Neal was great. Turkuaz was weird and I might have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t for the guy in front of me who wanted to make sure I enjoyed it.

Not for a while. I have to finish up the Top 500 Albums thread before I even look at these, and I have a baby that could come any day now which will make me put this off a bit more. Ill give everyone a few days notice before I actually start adding up points.
 
So it's that time of the year, huh? For whatever reason I feel like I didn't listen to many new albums this year, or at least I wasn't as engaged with new releases as I was on previous years. Anyway, I'll give it a try in a follow up post.

trying to piece this list together I am realizing that I have not actively committed myself to the deep dives into albums, especially unknown artists, I usually do...it's been an extremely difficult year for me (and everyone, I know) and I have sought comfort in favorites and/or particular "mood" music more than throwing energy into new. looking at end-of-year lists, I don't know 90% of what is being lauded this year...and probably won't really delve into most of the unknown any time soon. it'll probably leave my list looking basic and unadventurous...it's largely just a collection of the releases from a lot of my existing favorite artists...but there has also been comfort I've taken from a lot of these.
