It really is a good album with some of my favorite all-time Gorillaz songs on it. Silent Running is such a jam. Ballad of Darren is probably a little more consistent overall this year Damon-wise, but they are both great.

Alight, alright checking out. I loved Song Machine but guess I am still in the habit of ignoring releases because it was the first of their albums to really hit me since Demon Days (which helped shape my taste in music).

I thought this was a great year for music, not much country music for me this year, I definitely went back to dance/electronic/pop.

Caroline Polacheck's album feels like a 2022 album to me. So many of the songs are relatively old, but it is a great album.

Jessie Ware's album kinda fell flat for me, so maybe it's a grower. I *loved* "What's Your Pleasure?" and it sort of felt like a second-tier rehash to me (is that a hot take??)

I can get on board with that; it is not a hot take at all. I would even argue that the bonus songs from What's Your Pleasure? were overall better than those on this year's effort.

I feel the same way about What's Your Pleasure? in 2023. It was my AotY then, and it still is now. It is also a phenomenal DJ record for a dance-pop/disco set.

I agree. I still listen to it more than the new one. The new one feels like it’s trying too hard with all the double entendres.

I think I missed this last year... let's not make that mistake again!

(15) Hail The Sun - Divine Inner Tension
(15) yeule - softscars
(15) Carly Rae Jepsen - The Loveliest Time
(15) underscores - Wallsocket
(15) Ben Howard - Is It?
(15) There Will Be Fireworks - Summer Moon

(2) Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
(2) Hinako Omari - stillness, softness...
(2) The Tallest Man On Earth - Henry St.
(2) Parannoul - After The Magic
(2) Maria BC - Spike Field

I don't have the heart to give any of those first 6 less than 15 points, so... sorry, other albums :( I love you all I swear.
