See I call bullshit. He’s committed to being a better man but when the suit was filed, he denied all of it. Then settled the matter very quickly, presumably for a LOT of money. Fuck him.

It’s andindependent uk based journalism site that is attempting to provide an antidote to media conglomerates and push slow news and detailed commentary rathet than a cycle of breaking fast news.

I’ve read a few of their articles down the years but have little feel for whether they’re truly reputable or not.

The 2003 allegation while he was in Florida means it's when he was staying at Tori Amos' house, so throwing in that link to her RAINN foundation at the end of the article is just perfect
 
I’ll wait to see what it looks like when the dust settles but his deflection, especially of the more recent allegation is problematic.

This hurts though, he wrote some of my most favorite books and comics. I was fully planning on reading Graveyard Book and Coraline to my youngest when the time came. My oldest and I read Coraline back in the day.

I feel you here. He's been a major part of my life for 35 years at this point. Many specific moments in my life, both good and bad, can be directly tied to his books and comics.

My wife was also like this (remove the problematic wife part though). My wife and oldest are currently discussing it and seem to be more willing to give Neil the benefit of the doubt here. 🤷‍♀️

I always withhold the benefit of the doubt when the accused has to throw in some notion that their accuser is medically/mentally incapable of delivering the truth.
