He really did present himself as different. For such a long career, one baby from an affair isn't as big of a skeleton as most have in that lifestyle. And there are worse and grosser things a lot of these guys do than cheating, but it's such a shitty thing to do to your partner. The risk of infecting them with an STD, the lost trust, and a kid is a lot to deal with. And while it has to suck for his wife, I honestly feel the worst for his kids. Coming from a family where my mom got pregnant with my little sister from a married guy, it's embarrassing even when your parent isn't super famous.

Sure, of course it is a problem for them. But I - and maybe it is as simple as a difference in definitions - don't think that is the context of problematic here. I see it as predatory, insidious behavior in the modern sense we tend to use it. Again, I could very well be the one eschewed in my perspective - that is wholly within the realm of possibilities.

Even as someone who thinks cheating is generally really shitty to do, I tend to agree with you on this. It's two consenting adults, that we know of. Sure he probably hurt his family and his reputation, but it's not criminal or predatory, just shitty. Problematic in different ways than a lot of the other things that come up on here. Like I'd not let Manson with the assault allegations watch my kid, but I wouldn't mind if Grohl did. Different levels of shittiness.

Not to take away from the rest of the allegations, which are horrific, but if "repeatedly exposing his [. . .] buttocks" is prosecution worthy, I'm fucked—I love mooning my friends and family!
