I went and ordered a Japanese og pressing of this one last night...

The only negative with the STERLING I have is that it's pressed really hot. Seems a bit harsh at times compared to the CB. The CB is smooth with softer highs but it's definitely less dynamic and detailed. Is the original japanese using the sterling plates?

I think so, but I'll have to do some research when it gets here.

That’s what I’ve always called it but I don’t know if I have ever heard someone actually say the word aloud, my friends IRL aren’t record collectors unfortunately. Maybe I will ask my local Record Store employees what they call it.
