Definitive Audiophile pressings

Oh I agree to an extent. I love the evolution of language and linguistics. The etymology of words is fascinating. I don’t think people should be punished or ridiculed for saying the wrong thing but I also think there is value in being able to communicate succinctly and being understood. Being redundant or using the wrong pluralism isn’t gonna effect people’s understanding of what’s being communicated but it is also not communicating as efficiently as someone could. Ultimately, the issue big issue with Vinyl/Vinyls is is more to do with the Gatekeeping nature of it all.

Also, if anyone here is interested in words I recommend checking out the books by Etymologist, Mark Forsyth, the history of words is fun and interesting.

I think peoples here are taking this with much too much seriousity.;)

Just got a restock email about this one.

I bought one on ebayEB1F59B8-80B8-4D88-9DCA-7DB55BC43DEF.jpeg

OMG. $160 for 3 records. $53 a title - wow. Pass.

I'll find a rip of the SACD's for zero, easily.

Now if they make the boxes out of recycled copies of Frampton Comes Alive
LOL.

The intel I am getting from retail is that people are spending as much on vinyl as they did in prior years. That just means they are buying less titles.

End result is that pricing has tilted the market to well heeled buyers (who tend to repetitively purchase a narrow band of titles) who can afford every 'audiophile' prssing that comes out, leaving the average music loving buyer to take less titles.

It is also causing far less titles to sell out quickly, hence a shift to increasing colored vinyl variants to stimulate 'collectability'.

So, Up here in Canada. Ordered the UHQR of Rastman Vibration a while back and only regretted the cost. Love the product and will never sell it.
But my UHQR Exodus was defective with lots of noise on side A.

Acoustic Sounds is telling me they can only send me a replacement if I make another order from them, which would be minimum 60$ Canadian.
They haven't responded to me in a couple days, but I don't really know what to do. Am I only left with the option of selling my Exodus UHQR as a defective record for the same price I paid for it? LOL

Asking this thread because I know this was an issue with the Original Kind Of Blue UHQR.
Can I send it back to AS and they'll refund me the cost and Fedex Import cost which was like 50$

Feel like FOMO got me good on this one. And Exodus is a great record, But If I seriously have to pay more for this thing there's just no way.

(Sorry if this isn't the most fitting thread for this)
