Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Christmas exclusives Throwback Thursday

AAAAAAND IT'S GONE
thank you next

So like it was a game show and then you had to buy it or was it just a prize?
It was essentially a TBT mixed with trivia. They had a bunch of titles (some with 1 copy, some with 5 copies, etc.) Storf or Pauly would tell you a title, how many copies they had and the original MSRP. Then they asked a question (i.e. what was the first true VMP exclusive title) and the first person to answer it correctly would be able to buy that title at original MSRP. If they had 5 copies, the first 5 people with the right answer would win, etc.

They had a few Willie titles like Both Sides Now and I believe 1 copy of The Words Don't Fit the Picture, one of the MIA releases, one copy of Pearl Jam Yield, two signed Paul Cauthen LPs and a bunch of other stuff. The only annoying thing was some people kept answering the questions and not wanting to actually buy the albums so then they would go to the next person who got it right. Tyler will apparently email those who won in the next day or two.

Think they will do this a few more times if it all goes well. There seem to be a bunch of things that have between 1-5 copies that are too few to do in TBT because of fear of overselling them.

I hopped on for a little and got Djo - Decide and Willie Nelson - The Troublemaker. Pretty excited about them actually! Getting PJ would've been neat too. Glad you got it @MikeH - Anyone else get something fun?

VMP ain't what is used to be. Swaps this month is a pile of garbage.

I've been slammed between work and school lately so I haven't been paying any attention to what's been going on in the discord so I'm a little bummed I totally missed this. But... this sounds like a pretty neat idea and a fun way to sell any super duper low-quantity TBT records. I hope they keep doing it (and someone pings me to give me a heads-up so I don't miss it again).
