Listened to the program On Being this morning, and it was an interview with the lead singer of Cloud Cult. I hadn't heard of the band before. Lead singer is a profound dude; it was an amazing interview about Music as Medicine.
Got new Spiritualized. Spinning it. It's a better pressing than my shitty Plain one for sure, but I was hoping for more. Happy with the upgrade but this is a classic album that still deserves more attention.

I'm psyched! Somehow Port of Sound had RSD copies of Mew's "Mew And The Glass Handed Kites" which I thought was only a EU release. This was the only thing I wanted this RSD round and I expected a bigger headache than this trying to get one.
The Grandaddy Sophtware Slump news is so amazing. I just played the stripped down piano version they released today of Jed's Other Poem and got chills. So many memories associated with this album.
Question about requesting replacements: I've seen in threads people mentioning requesting their like 3rd, maybe 4th replacement of a record with issues. At what point do you just a request a refund because it's almost certainly a manufacturing issue?
If anyone was thinking of getting the Ulrich Schnauss reissues of A Strangely Isolated Place and Far Away Trains Passing By from Rough Trade but hesitated bc they are pricey ( I waited to indulge until my Bday ) then I can confirm that these pressings are immaculate and you should do it if you love his music.
My Fontaines D.C. deluxe record just arrived from Rough Trade. It came with a print signed by the band members. Was this a standard thing for the deluxe version? I went back to my original order and it didn't mention autographs. Killer surprise.

Just opened and spinning the remastered 3LP of Ulrich Schnauss's "Far Away Trains Passing By" and damn did they do an incredible job with this. Sounds marvelous.

The fact that Swift and Dessner began work in earnest on this (or at least their 11/16 tracks together) and now it's out in the world in this fully polished form is pretty amazing.

The new album from Team Picture out today is great. Not sure how to categorize it, but i'd say if you like indie on the shoegaze and dream pop spectrum you'd enjoy.
