I got that pressing you linked me of The Cure’s “Disintegration” and it sounded marvellous! I was amazed by the pressing and by spacious the sound was as well as the deep bass! The album sounded so alive and filled the room! Thank you so much for that!
What other albums do you have on vinyl that you love, that are similar to Disintegration, apart from The Smiths’ later albums?
Are you in Europe/Canada? Do you have records that you no longer want? Do you want the chance to claim records that other people no longer want? Please check out the Euro PIF!
Guy Garvey is an absolute treasure, beyond Elbow, who are great, I’ve just been listening to his radio show all afternoon whilst cleaning my apartment, it’s been a joy and made a chore fly by!
Really enjoying this MTV Unplugged album from Liam. Nothing earth shattering but it’s nicely put together, his voice is sounding better than it has in years (he’s finally singing, rather than shouting, again) and I’m finding myself singing along to all the old oasis songs.
For a label so beloved around here how many women have Colemine signed and released music by? By no means a completionist there, unlike some others here, but I am listening to some that I have and all the artists are men and everything I see bigged up seems to be by men.
Interested in the N&G AoTMs and put off Vol. 11 by shipping costs? Well we’re clubbing in together to buy multiple copies to save. There are 3 of us so far but the more the merrier. I’m planning to buy tomorrow morning so let me know before then! The link is in the first post below and enjoy this gloriously sunny bank holiday weekend!
So what is the best record club? It’s the FOMO free, fan driven, N&G AoTM of course! If you’ve yet to check it out we have a Year 1 Review AND an admin thread where you can sign up to pick!
Seems I missed an important event yesterday! Thanks for the warm reception to the forum and help, I hope the birthday was a good'un and that some of the merriment bleeds through to today!
