Happy Birthday, and I can't wait to see the rest of your countdown for AOTY!!
I try to make a big deal out of AOTY every year, but this year is posing a challenge (due to lack of time..) Over the years (since 2014), I have put out real-time AOTY lists for the respective year. The first few years were blog format, the next several years were video format, and last year was a series of posts on IG. I really don't know how to present my list this year. Whadayall wanna see from me?
I move to change Thanksgiving to a new name. Something like "Native American Remembrance Day" or "Pro-Historical Truth & Anti-Genocide, Anti-Societal Indoctrination Day"... Or just "Togetherness Day", that sounds good.
I don't know how much more of this heat and humidity I can take this summer

Well, today is the day. 13 years I've waited. New Porcupine Tree album! This past December my wife pre-ordered the album for my on vinyl for my b-day. It's has shipped, currently en route. I'm going to do my best to wait so that I can spin it for my first official listen. I have avoided all singles, so my first listen will be 100% fresh.
For anyone who followed me on Instagram, I have chosen to deactivate all of my social media accounts (including Instagram). I was wasting too much time on them. Don't worry, I plan to continue posting on N&G!
Wow, we are almost half way through 2022! I'm not on the forum as much as a lot of you, so I was wondering if there is any mid-year thread or posting or voting or anything (like there is at year's end)? I know many of you put out mid-year "best of so far" lists (as do I). Are there any special parameters for these lists that I may be unaware of? #FOMO Thanks!

Just finished Kendrick's new album. Absolutely floored. Lyrically, Kendrick is graphically blunt and brutally honesty, offering transparency and showing personal growth. This is the first album in quite some time that's made me cry. "Auntie Diaries" and "Mother I Sober" are two frontrunners for song of the year. Even after my inital listen, MM&TBS is surely an AOTY contender.

As some of you know, I've been putting out album reviews on my Insta since the start of the year, but, unfortunately, I'm going to be putting those on hiatus for now. They take a lot of time and I'm st too busy with priorities (family, work, chores, and, of course, listening to as much music as I can). I will, however, still do my best to involve myself in discussion, recs, and list making as much as I can ✌
