Going to work sucks.
It's official: I go back to work at the office on Monday, after over a year working from home. Everyone is like "Isn't it great to finally be going back into the building" and I'm like "No? I like saving gas and spending more time with my wife and cats?"
Pouring one out to all the newly-warped records in the Pacific Northwest
I forgot to post my update on the "pet crematorium catching fire with my cat's remains inside" saga. Wiggles is back home, safe and sound. Based on the cremation certificate, she was cremated on the day of the fire, so it looks like she was taken care of right before things REALLY went up in smoke.
I miss her deeply, but I finally am starting to feel a sense of closure.
Flaming crematorium update: I haven't gotten through to them myself, but Wiggles' vet said one of their workers stopped by this morning and said the fire was contained to the roof and that they're still operating business normally. No pet remains were lost.
*exhales*
The crematorium where my cat's remains were sent to caught fire today. I have no idea what's happened to Wiggles.
RIP Wiggles. June 2002 - April 28, 2021. It was still far too soon.

Wife's genetic test results just came back and she's negative for the BRCA2 breast cancer gene that killed her mom 11 years ago. Huge sigh of relief.
Oh god do I tempt the fates again with this VG+
I've been out of the anime scene for 15+ years so when I do randomly entertain some show or movie I have no place or people to talk to about it. Just every now and then I want to weeb out again like I'm back in college. ;_;
My saga with the VG+ discogs purchase that was actually closer to Fair+ has come to an anticlimatic conclusion: no further message from the seller, but a full refund. And not just on the messed up album I returned, either. I actually bought a second album from them and kept it, but they refunded that too. I half expect an "Oops" response from them at some point asking I partially refund their refund...
lol does this even really work?
Just to update, the seller said I can mail back that VG+ scotch-taped record for a full refund. Part of me is tempted to just do this:
Folks, covering an album cover in scotch tape to repair seam splits makes it VG+ right? Asking for a discogs seller.

Gonna wait until we have a new president before I hit up VMP asking where my January shipment is.
