Found a complete, used copy of the Wells Fargo album at the local store today for about $13 so that was a pleasant surprise.

For the first time uh, ever, I think... I'm going to sub to all three ROTM tracks this month. Aretha and the Roots were no-brainers and after a couple of listens to El-P, I think I'll get it now rather than take my chances and hope it lasts a month or two down the road for swaps. Definitely VMP's overall strongest month in quite a while, maybe since March of last year.
Alright, that opening track to Mr. Hands, Spiraling Prism: does that bassline remind anyone else of Chrono Trigger or is it just me?
My January ROTM arrived today, as did two other records I bought in late December. Could it be possible Vinyl Me Please may have turned a corner?
Been on a Donald Byrd kick lately. Picked up an OG pressing of "Street Lady" for 15 bucks yesterday and it's fantastic. I can see why some people were hoping this would be the VMP pick for Classics.
Against my better judgment, I went and bought Labi Siffre and Townes Van Zandt's Our Mother the Mountain. The 20% off code helped with that, at least.
I took off my side sub though, so I'm only getting Mr. Hands from the ROTMs this month. My long-term future with them is on thin ice.
A Charlie Brown Christmas is a Christmas album that I have zero problem playing any time of the year.

I bought Johnny Griffin's "A Blowing Session" late last year right before it sold out and listened to it a handful of times. But I've recently gone back and started listening to it some more and hot damn, is it blowing me away (no pun intended). Just some jazz legends absolutely killing it.
Against my better judgment, I'm currently swapping for Joel Ross.
This might be premature, but I'm thinking of pruning next month down to my main track only (RHH). And I'll probably swap if it's Da Brat. I kind of want it, but chances are it'll stick around for a while. She can go to the bottom of my to-swap list.

I gave up Method Man for Lightmen this month. Honestly, I kind of hope another Bespoke Post VMP box is in the pipeline with several of the above records included as options. That box they put out this month ruled lol

Like with Nat Turner, it looks like I’m one of the lucky ones and will receive OutKast with no delay. Funny if I wasn’t a member of the forums I’d never know all the shipping issues VMP has.

Ivy Sole came today as a consolation record for VMP overselling Goodie Mob. But then the Goodie Mob I ended up buying on discogs came today too (packed in secondhand VMP box no less). So uh, good day for good tunes.
Goodie Mob was missing from my box and was told it sold out. :| Buuuut... VMP agreed to replace it with Ivy Sole which I thought was sold out too. We shall soon see! -
