  • Worth it, traveling all the way to my office to snag my office turntable. Operation: Bob the Builder is still in effect though, just waiting for the part to arrive.
if you grab anything from that BF sale today, make sure its Welcome to Bobby's Motel.
Still holding out hope a Sam Herring x BADBADNOTGOOD jazz lounge album will happen someday.

I'm starting to think BBNG is basically over since they lost a founding member

@bdm105 they were working on material earlier this year and put out a couple singles iirc. covid probably put a hard pause on it though.
a hell of a time for my turntable to die and all my repair options in the area are either shut down due to covid or no longer in business!

found one shop that does repairs and they told me I'd be better off getting a replacement unit and not bothering with a repair (that they wouldnt do anyways since it wasnt a high end piece of gear).

I had the same trouble in SF, pre Covid, trying to get my Pro-Ject repaired. I ended up getting a new turntable and have my old one sitting in the closet, trying to figure out what to do with it. I did find a guy who seemed to know older turntables better than modern, I'll PM you his info.

Taking recommendations for cartridge replacements on a Pro Ject Debut III. Been using a 2M Blue, but now it's definitely time to move on.

Yea, I also got that one pre-ordered. Didn’t realize VMP would do their own at the time, guess I’ll have both until I flip the basic version.
wow someone actually bought my copy of DS2... they dont have feedback though, i am taking pictures of this one before I send it out. just in case... *shifty eyes*
i feel a tiny bit dumb for feeling like i need to make a completely separate discogs account just for my cd's, but something about co-mingling them with the LPs seems wrong... i dunno. saturday problems.

What are some good record shops to take a look at for RSD? All my usual spots are either not participating or went out of business. So I’m SOL for the most part and gunna try my hand on some online shenanigans.

I've been running my belt drive VPI TT for about almost 6 years. I was thinking about hooking up my old Technics SL-3300. It's not a high end piece of equipment, but it did a good job.

Yea something about going direct drive and putting my belt drive into storage sounds very appealing. Also having the 33/45 switch on a button is a cherry on top.

Consider double-boxing it, and buying insurance. Signature upon receipt not a bad idea, either.

ah yea, i didnt consider the signature bit, but I did get it insured and packed it up exceptionally well. I used the last of my bubble wrap which was almost half a roll.

I don’t usually go the sig route since it can become a nuisance if not home. But I guess everyone’s already home with this pandemic
