I have a limited edition yellow digipak that added three extra tracks - Dirty Frank, Wash, and a live version of Alive.
I love this album, and all the similar stuff that came out at this time. As per above, I liked that all the bands were slightly different.
Definitely lost interest in them, as the last few albums haven’t been amazing, but seeing them live last month was a huge highlight.
I really like the first three PJ records (in fact, since this is the only one in the book, I would put VS in over it.). Gigaton was kind of forgettable all together for me. I think there are good songs on Dark Matter, I just think that producer guy sucks and fucked it up. I’ve never spent much time with No Code through Riot Act. S/T through Thunderbolt are just kind of nostalgia bombs for me and I dig them okay.I have a limited edition yellow digipak that added three extra tracks - Dirty Frank, Wash, and a live version of Alive.

You know I love the Trees and agree. I should probably dig into TAD. Looking at the index earlier tonight, Mudhoney shows up twice. Two of my absolute favorites from the Pacific NW explosion, Screaming Trees and TAD, kinda got left at the altar. In many ways, I consider them far more creative, adventurous and superior to PJ.

I can't recommend this enough if you want the TAD story...
Soundgarden with Tad supporting, 1994. Not long after Cobain left us. Tad were superb.
First saw TAD in 89 with a little band called Nirvana opening for them (though I think they did a coin toss)Similar story with a Soundgarden opener - saw a show in 1995 with You Am I as the opener. Blown clean outta my Chuck Taylors. The beginning of my ongoing YAI love affair.
