  • Well, that should just about stick a fork in baseball, only two weeks earlier than I had predicted. Dumbest plan EVAH.
I love it when "Canada Border Services" call me from a US number to tell me in broken English that they will suspend my social insurance number. SHIT I BETTER GET ON THAT

We should put them together with the extended car warranty people that won’t stop spamming my company cell.

We also get scam calls in full chinese saying your canadian visas or paperwork is not in order and that you face deportation. Non-mandarin speakers will not even understand a thing, but man they're really going for the low lying fruit with this one. But it's crazy how prevalent these calls were. I must have had at least a dozen myself over the last few years.

For a while I was getting at least one a day for a couple of weeks on my work cell. Then I switched it to only accept calls from numbers in my contact list

How is Vinyl-Digitals shipping packaging? Anyone have experience with them?

Yeah I mean I grabbed RTJ2 for 54CAD which is about $40 USD so I thought that was pretty decent.

Standard. Using them for 6 years personally never had any issues

I actually ordered 3 records from them in April. I don't remember the specifics of the packaging, but they all arrived in perfect condition.

Back to work for the first live shows in 5 months. I remember nothing. 20 years of TV and I've forgotten everything in less than 5 months.
Any of y'all have the Folsom Prison Sony Legacy or MOV 2 LP? If so how does it sound?

Yeah that T Rex is a must buy, but there's no pre orders yet for it up here.

I’ve seen a lot of preorders here for it but no street date yet which is frustrating. Can’t wait for that one!

I managed to snag a copy of Iron Butterfly Mofi limited to 3000 that I ran across in the wild for $45 CAD new before all this happened so I was happy to grab that. But T-Rex is way higher on my list of must haves.

What if Peloton were the ones who started Covid.

    Think about it.

No actually please don't I'm just very bored.
Doggie rescue op that we got our 2 dogs from just texted to let me know they rescued the sister of our most recent adoption... OMFG DON'T TELL MY WIFE OR WE'RE GUNNA HAVE THREE DOGS
Well... back to work on Friday for the first time in almost 5 months. It's like the first day of school except I haven't had a chance to go shopping for new clothes and I also haven't had a haircut in 6 months. OMG THE GRADE TENS ARE GUNNA LAUGH AT ME
Following up on the hot take below, I'm listening to the AP 2 LP 45 Mono of Pet Sounds and... honestly it's nothing special. The songs are great but the mastering is flat and kinda crunchy, sounds like I'm listening through a transistor radio on the side of the local speedway in 1966 and my black leather jacket is getting hot but it's cool because I've got my smokes rolled up in my sleeve...
Watching Hereditary, then I think I'll listen to Flamagra in the dark... I figure as long as I'm not gunna sleep I might as well go whole hog.
Well, after doing 175 pushups every day since March I've become very adept at pushing various things approximately 3 feet away from myself... repeatedly... ad nauseum. Still useless at everything else though...
Holy flaming Jesus on a pogo stick... YOU GUYS... I just got my system dialed in so well that even that horrendous Titanic Rising pressing sounds glorious... this is awesome.

Yeah I dunno, it's confusing as hell. I mean either way it sounds great now with the 10 db drop going into the AVR. But it would be nice to know where the fault lies, or if it's fixable without the attenuators.

I was wondering if maybe the Aria was calibrated mostly for Regas own carts, and maybe the 2M Black was coming in too hot, but then I discovered that Rega's MM carts have an output of 6.8-7.2mV, which is...very high.

Yeah like, I can't figure it out. I initially thought it was a fault with the ADC chip in the Arcam peaking too easily. But now I just don't know where the issue was coming from. For the Rega to be outputting that seemingly low, and the Black to be several MVS below the Rega carts, but the AVR was still popping at 4 RMS. Makes no sense to me.
So Mofi is doing "Train" now? Are you kidding me? Drops Of Jupiter might be one of the most insipid songs of the past 50 years. I honestly thought this was a joke at first, I don't know who picks Mofi's albums for them but dear god make it stop.
Out of commission all day today... Barely eaten, slept most of the day. Now I'm cooking chicken wings and exercising at 1130 pm... Sure body... okay I guess, if you say so...

I mean the wings are baked... because you know... gotta be healthy when you're exercising and pounding wings at midnight... OBVIOUSLY...

Honestly I don't know what came over me. It's probably the extreme heat and lack of sleep that's caused it. But 175 pushups later and 1.5 pounds of wings and potatoes and I'm RARING TO GO.

...buuuuut seeing as it's now 2:08 a.m. I will just be going to bed... Which is super boring. I'm sure I'll have a great sleep while my body attempts to digest all this...
Whoever invented the flat head screw should be tied to a giant flat headed screw of his own design and then slowly, inefficiently and inaccurately screwed into a giant block of very dense wood.

This would please me very much right now.
