I think it's a fantastic album, not a bad song in the bunch.I’m a little surprised you like Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix so much! I really like that album as well, but I just remember so much people negatively criticising that album. So much people’s reaction in the forum was when that album got selected as the Essentials ROTM!
And I dunno, I just assumed that the Phoenix album would have been too ‘pop’ sounding for your liking after looking at your lists and what albums you like!

I think 2009 had all three of my favourite metal albums. Excited to go back and listen.
I like them and post semi-regularly, though for the reasons you state it's probably on the bubble for getting in the top 10.I’m a fan and I don’t know if it’ll make my top 10, their weakest album by quite some way, even if I like it. I also think out of the maybe 5 or 6 members who like them I’m the only one who regularly posts in this thread.

Two incredible comebacks.
Mmmmm I kinda agree with you! 2010 had so much incredible albums (Robyn, Kanye West, MGMT, Beach House, Janelle Monae, Flying Lotus etc), but 2009 was lacking in albums! You had great singles from Washed Out, Grizzly Bear, Jay Electronica etc, but album wise it was meh. 2008 was a bit better than 2009, but 2007 was definitely the year with so much great albums (From Britney Spears to Burial, from Radiohead to Blu & Exile, from Justice to M.I.A to LCD Soundsystem, from Animal Collective and Panda Bear to Spoon and from Kanye West to Jens Lekman, it was such a loaded year)! 2007 and 2010 were really strong years in terms of albums. 2009 was one of the stonger years for singles though in my opinion!1. Fun. - Aim & Ignite
2. Eyedea & Abilities - By The Throat
3. St Vincent - Actor
4. Dalek - Gutter Tactics
5. Mos Def - The Ecstatic
6. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
7. The Flaming Lips - Embryonic
8. Tonstartssbandht - An When
9. Kid Cudi - Man On The Moon
10. Sunn O))) - Monoliths & Dimensions
Some really incredible albums came out this year. However, I think I would honestly struggle to expand this list any more than maybe 5 albums, and I would have to work incredibly hard to muster up a top 20 list. There just wasn't that much coming out that I dig
This album just missed out on making the top 10!The-Dream – Love vs. Money
no you're not! (and it's definitely in my top 10)
