All Things King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Received my copy of Live in San Fran. It sounds pretty good, but I wish they would have toned down the crowd noise slightly and brought the soundboard a bit more upfront. Not sure I really want to hear that lady from the crowd having a conversation in The River. But it's been immortalized now. :)

That lady talking oddly made me feel so good last night. I miss live shows so much that I even miss obnoxious chatter during quiet parts of songs.

So K.G. is pretty damn good, but my only question now is are all the colored exclusives sold out? Don’t own a single black King Gizz and don’t plan on starting now.
Only non-black version I’ve seen still in stock is the grape from the UK.

They rolled the variants out in an oddly-staggered pattern for this one, so I suspect many people ended up buying multiple variants. I would wait until the shipments have been out a couple of weeks and I'm sure there will be a bunch changing hands.

Does anyone else feel like Honey is in the wrong spot? It kinda takes me out of the groove I’m in from Ontology onward
I think “Honey” works brilliantly after “Oddlife.” It’s also an amazing juxtaposition to “The Hungry Wolf of Fate.”

I’ll be honest, my first couple listens I thought the album was good but sort of a mess. Today went back in with the mindset that this isn’t FMB V.2 but more of a microtonal Gumboot Soup, of sorts, and I started enjoying it a LOT more. All the songs and their positions in the progression made more sense and gel’d together better, for whatever reason.

King Gizz is always there to surprise me though. One of the most interesting groups to follow recently.

Cheers for the heads up, but I might hold out to see if anything pops up in the future that matches better with the cover aesthetic.

Flightless went solid colors on this one. Hopefully they keep it pressed!
Some shots of the live in san fran that arrived over the weekend.

Picking up my copy of this one at my local on Wednesday. Liked the variation on the covers so it'll be cool to have both. Happy it looks like it turned out as nice as I had hoped. Get a chance to spin it yet?

No, I think I'll probably do that. Right now I have the LP and sleeve in a plastic outer and thats inside the paper bag. Just cause I didn't know what to do in the moment, and I immediately sorta hated it.
I ended up transferring it to the plastic sleeve. Worked out very well.

And man, that “Head On/Pill” is the crown jewel of that whole concert.
Absolutely beautiful.
Had me missing live music so damn much.
