Especially considering that they wrote KG in isolation, which means the transitions all had to be planned out, not just jammed out organically.

Yeah, I was actually surprised that they recorded most of the album isolated like that, (maybe all of it?). It sounds pretty damn cohesive, like they had spent all of Quarantine locked up and tinkering with the songs together, but nope.
Absolutely incredible.
But that’s because they’re wizards.
Lizard Wizards at that.
And they’re already working on the next album which is supposedly their most psychedelic music thus far?

I love K.G., especially as a complete listen. They really have great intuition on how to build an album, even in lockdown. My favorite moments here are Minimum Brain Size, Automation,Straws In The Wind, Intrasport, which is A FUCKING BOP, and Ontology’s nod to ELTS is killer. This record seems to be the perfect mix of a ton on of their styles, but also really different than anything they’ve done before. It’s fitting to call it K.G. but also super daring at the same time because it really pushes the “boundaries” of a KGLW record, lyrically and sonically.
I am floored by the Joey tracks on here, the groove is insane. This band really knows their strengths and to see this release have more collaboration behind the scenes, it shows there is so much more to expect from these guys in the future.

I was a little luke warm on Chunky Shrapnel, but man is this San Francisco live show amazing! This is everything I wanted Chunky Shrapnel to be.
Also, in the reddit AMA yesterday someone mentioned that Stu said the SECOND release of 2021 will be the most Psychadelic thing they've ever done. So, expect at least 2 albums next year. Also, someone from the band said that they are really interested in doing a Sabbath-like Stoner Rock album, in which case........I am so fucking on board for that!

Go to Caroline’s site, says the 11th. My local shop said his got pushed back so we shall see if it’s going to be even longer than that.

I never even noticed the date on the email, I think the site said December from the beginning but I could be mistaken. I'm excited for this one to show up, although I am quite jealous of the foil Flightless sleeve, haha.

oh man, I didn't realize that they weren't all the foil jacket. that makes me happy I ended up with the Flightless via the Australia Gizzverse page, though I like the US splatter variants more than the solid color Flightless.

Here are some examples of what the 2nd press of Polygonwanaland EtherealGroove Wax Mages may look like. Each of the 25 records pressed will be unique, from my understanding. And they are shipping out 2 months early and should arrive in February. I think the 3rd press is available now.
