One of my best friends introduced me to Aesop Rock and we went to see them rap a number of years ago. I just started to collect records and bought this one and another after their show.

There are some striking lyrics in this, and I was also reminded of the song I'll post below, which isn't on this album but the lyrics come from a 16th-century Spanish mystic poet.
