Day 28: National Red Wine Day - Play an album that makes you want to drink wine.
I mean, a glass of red wine after a hard week with a record on is the dream. There were a ton of choices but I decided to fall back on one of my favorites. I would say even though she has some songs directly referencing red wine (looking at you Johnny), I'd say Undercurrent by Sarah Jarosz really fits that red wine-wind down mood of a Friday night.
Plus I've definitely had a few glasses at her shows over the last decade.

Swervedriver - Mezcal Head
Since I've never even tried beer or wine or anything else that can make you drunk, I figure that for this challenge one alcoholic beverage is as good as another, so mezcal it is!
Full disclosure... not real familiar with Bright Eyes, also have never listened to this album, period. However, I am slightly hung over and this is what I’m spinning...
August 29 - Hangover - Play an album that will help you get over the hangover from Wine Day.
So one time I went on a wine tasting day with a woman who I had it bad for. It’s was pretty obvious we were just friends in her mind and I even knew it...but still hoped I was wrong. She outright said the next day, in the midst of my hangover, what we both knew.
So I went home and sulked in my hangover to sad songs and discovered Soak’s cover of I Will Always Love You. Melodramatic as hell I know but since then I associate Soak with that post drunken feeling.
The soothing urgency in the music does help to be fair...and Ive had a few substantially more fun hangovers in the artists homeland.
I don't drink wine often, it's beer or bourbon for me mostly...but this would go nicely with wine, or the beer I'm currently having. And, I just Spin-Cleaned it today, couldn't wait any longer to spin it.
