Bandbox: an uncompensated review of an interesting new club

slight update. apparently the courts ruled that all the pressing plants who pressed stuff for BB that wasn't paid for had to send that inventory over to VNYL. so they have even the titles like the Hadley Caliman. American Football, etc in their possession now. VNYL of course has gone completely radio silent on me. not sure if anybody has info or a way to get an actual response from them...

They never replied to any of my emails. They're run by scummy people so I had very little hope that they'd do anything for us, seeing as they already have been selling things we paid for.

Recent reviews from this year are pretty grim too, so many losers in this industry.

well based on the inventory list, there are tons of things that were overpressed even when compared to the amount of presales/orders they had. so selling some of that stuff isn't worrying in itself...like Taking Back Sunday is being sold at indies, but they pressed 1k or more of each and at most sold 400 of one title. others sold 250 or less. theoretically, they could dump the majority of the leftovers and still fill all the orders.

but given all the other context...don't know that we will ever see this stuff. i emailed a different email address today and will see if anything comes of it. also tagged them on instagram but they don't seem to update their social media at all probably because they are a failing company hah.
