I almost got the Lissie album but when I saw that the album got delayed I decided to listen to the album and I didn't hate it but didn't like it enough to keep my order. They offered to send lp separately since zine was delayed. I wasn't that excited about the zine and I quickly ordered it because of the preorder sale. I realized I'd probably enjoy a different album more. If i really wanted the album I would have kept my order but since it's been delayed twice I'm glad I canceled my order as who knows when everything would be ready. Customer is good but it seems like their albums get delayed a lot.
 
So I've made my swap - assuming any of the last three i've ordered ever ship- but it's pretty much barrel scrapings from here out unless they can get some much needed restocks.

I really don't want to think that the awesome 1 yr sub offer was a way for them to clear out their unwanted inventory, but dangling bonus LP's on consecutive renewals is worthless if there aren't three albums in stock that i want. They really have to get this together.

Agreed here. Even if you find something you want, chances are you won’t get it for six months. I reached out today about my outstanding orders, and they responded with they are waiting on zines and/or albums. That’s all fine and dandy, but update your website. Torres was supposed to ship in June along with Bedouine, but I’m here impatiently waiting.

I mean...the 50% off year long sub was definitely mostly to clear out unwanted inventory haha. Most of the exclusives people wanted were gone before the 1 year deal came up. They were slowing down on new exclusives before the deal and have been unable to release new exclusives on time for most of the year.

I'm struggling to find stuff too and am still owed a few albums. Went for the Knxwledge exclusive for next month. Hoping they release some more stuff soon. As for the bonus LPs, those come in the form of a gift card so can always use those later. It's hard to get caught back up and seems they didn't plan far enough out.
 
So, i think i made a mistake with that yearly sub. Looks like they declaring theit full 40$ exclusives value plus shipping which makes me pay an additional 15$ (+20$ shipping), which makes this unnecessarily expensive for me.

Therefore i decided to PIF the rest of my yearly membership. So if someone wants in, please let me know. The way i imagine it works is, you let me know your shipping adress and pm ( or put in this thread ) yor choices and i´ll let this send to your adress. So, if someone is interested let
me know.

EDit: if they let me change shipping adresses regularly we couls also split this
Edit2: Since i want to avoid the shipping costs, american adresses to ship to would be much preferred

Damn, thats makes it way too expensive. I barely get stuff from outside the EU theses days. Customs and exchange rate are such a pain right now.
 
Delays are industry wide, of course (i.e. I've had a preorder of Two From the Vault from LITA pushed back like five times already). I've even seen some labels claim lead time on a vinyl release is like 18 months these days. Makes me wonder what sort of premium VMP is paying to ensure their stuff is (for the most part) coming in on time.

Nonetheless, it's getting a little frustrating here, for sure. It's also sort of odd that they appear to be having trouble getting the zines printed on time. I obviously have no idea whatsoever what that actually entails, but it seems like that should be the easier part at the moment.

That being said, I've yet to get a bad pressing of anything from this crew, so I'm generally okay waiting a little longer for quality product. Hoping the slow down in announcements is just the result of them not wanting to announce anything unless they're certain they'll have it ready to go when they say they will. Suppose we'll find out in the coming months.

VMP and other retailers have a lot of purchasing power since they order so many copies of everything. The bandbox exclusives are in small runs like 500 or 1,000 usually. I also think that VMP is way more experienced in lead times and planning ahead. I get the impression that Bandbox is announcing titles earlier than they probably should to show that they are still getting new releases done so members stick around.

I agree on the quality so far too.

Yeah, wasn't thinking about quantity in regards to VMP, and that no doubt helps their cause.

it's a big reason why places like Target/Walmart/etc seem to have no issue getting records and variants done quickly. It's all about the purchasing power. VMP probably presses 10x as much as Bandbox just in the essentials track each month (maybe more).
