Looking at raw totals the Braves are either on an unbelievable season-long run of luck or we're smack dab in the middle of another organized cheating scandal and I will not accept any other explanations
 
The Rangers/Astros/Mariners horse race to win the West or get the final Wild Card spot has been really amazing. I don't think my Rangers have the bullpen to do much in the postseason but it's been very enjoyable to watch them battle back and take the lead. Such a strange succession of series and now they control their fate against the Angels and Mariners. And the Astros and Mariners will knock around each other the next 3 days. So wild.

As a lifelong Mariners fan, filled with a whole load of heartbreak, I have learned to set expectations low and take each day as it comes.

The cubs are basically toast at this point. As a Sox guy I don’t mind dancing on their graves a bit but I do feel for my cubbie fan friends who were really enjoying this unexpectedly competitive season and for them to blow it like this have been a bit of nut punch for them.

The Mariners are probably done too unfortunately.

As a DBacks follower by geography, I was absolutely floored how the Cubs lost those first 2 games vs. the Braves. It's like they forgot everything in final inning.

Yeah we'll see...Brewers will be using the weekend to get their rotation in line for the playoffs, and giving some at-bats to get guys like Garret Mitchell back in the swing of things to figure out their playoff roster. Cubs could definitely sneak a couple wins by us. Though all the Marlins have to do is beat the Pirates.
