Baseball

🧐

Can you only stream on your phone or do you have full access?
You can download the MLB.TV app on a smart TV and watch it there. Local blackouts apply unfortunately so if your fave team is in market you won’t be able to watch those games.

on Sundays I sometimes like to put the White Sox up on the TV and then pull up MLB.TV on my MacBook, watching it on a computer allows you to watch multiple games at the same time and provides extra in game stats which is fun. Especially if you play Fantasy l.

They have an app on Smart TV? I’ve tried to look on my LG and nothing

I've had MLB TV before so I have the app on my Smart TV. So I can just sign in with that like a normal MLB TV account?

I should get my VPN back because I'm sure the picture quality on MLB TV is going to blow away the garbage picture that Xfinity has.

My brother and I like to take baseball trips to ballparks around the country we don't normally get to visit. Last one was to Chicago in 2019. We haven't done one since then but are making plans to go to San Francisco in early August to hit up a Giants game on Thursday and an A's game on Saturday. Friday will be a trip up to Russian River Brewing and stop off at the Muir Woods.

So far we've jointly visited the Cubs, Dodgers, Angels, Nationals, and Phillies. Future trips will be the Padres, Rockies, and Mariners. Houston isn't that far away so we've threatened to do that since it's only a 4 hour car trip. We'd like to hit the Royals before they move out of the old stadium. He may go to Boston this summer with his kids which I've already done. Separately, I've gone to see the Braves, Twins, and Red Sox. We figure there are some we may never get around to because the reason to go there is fairly remote like most of the upper Midwest. New York is on there as that's a fairly easy flight and a great destination.

They weren't in town when we were in DC for a football game. We did a long sports weekend over Labor Day back in 2018. We flew into DC on Friday morning for the football game that was on Saturday. We did the Nationals on Friday and took the Amtrack to Philly on Sunday. Baltimore was on a road trip. We figure we'll go back for that one later.

Ooof. Missed Camden Yards AND had to go to Fed Ex Field? :p

Ha. No. We took the Metro out there but the walk back to the station while being taunted by Maryland fans was the best.
Oh god. That Metro is like a mile from the stadium! Not to de-rail the Baseball thread but I saw U2 there back in 2009 and we walked from that damn metro station, stood for at least 5 hours at the show on the floor, walked back to that damn Metro station, stood in line for 45 minutes to even get into that damn Metro station and then stood for 30 minutes on the train ride because it was so full. Fun times. (I also saw Coldplay there last Summer and we decided to drive and we parked in the row the very farthest from the stadium and pulled right out onto the highway after the show. Best move ever for seeing something there.)
