Canadaland shipping shenanigans (and other conversations too, eh?)

Not sure if anyone is having trouble with Purolator but my order that was marked "missed connection" on December 9th finally arrived today, box looked fine and records inside were also fine.

They were impossible to connect BTW and looking online I read that this isn't unusual right now because of the massive backlog so as worried as I was I was still hopeful! Nevertheless I hope I don't have to deal with them again any time soon
 
I've been reading a few complaints about packages being returned to sender after the strike, so that's fun.

As for my two record orders:

#1 (Order from Def Jam): Suddenly got delivered over the holidays from Uni Uni. Not sure how that happened as I thought it was supposed to come regular mail. Haven't spun it yet as the reviews are making me depressed. Looks like the remastered remaster of Pusha T still sucks.

#2 (Order from discogs): Reached out to the seller and he told me the Swedish mail has held onto orders meant for Canada Post so I guess I'll see where that's at in two or so weeks.

Similar. Waiting on an order from Japan. Pretty sure it has been in a warehouse over there since November. At least that is what I hope.

Funny thing I did an order on discogs from a Canadian seller just before the strike. He held on to it and then mailed it when they ordered the postal workers back to work. Still waiting on that package, but ordered something between Christmas and New Years that arrived on Friday.
 
I'm curious to see how shipments from the US are going to turn out. I imagine there's a backlog from there since they haven't been transferring anything to Canada for a while. Now that it's going again, how long should we wait before telling our US pals it's ok to ship some PIFs our way?

Haha seriously. The 4 US shipments are all through customs at this point and so far moving normally. The inbound US PIF so far seems normal

Was talking to our postie the other day and he was saying they new stuff is moving fast but the backlog is still huge since Canada Post does not want to bring in people for extra shifts to address it faster
