Country / Alt-Country / Roots / Americana

Looking at these guys’ YouTube channel, I guess they are kind of like the bluegrass version of post modern jukebox, but this is pretty cool:

The new Jim Lauderdale is excellent. Among those backing Lauderdale on My Favorite Place are members of his touring band The Game Changers, which includes guitarists Craig Smith and Frank Rische, bassist Jay Weaver, drummer Dave Racine and vocalist Lillie Mae Rische.

We're seeing Margo Cilker this weekend and the opening act is Jeremy Ferrara who I think plays guitar in her band. He released an album this year called Darkness Is A Bright Sound and I streamed it over the weekend. It's more Folk/Singer-songwriter than it is Country/Americana, but pretty good regardless of label.

What and whom?

"I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick."

He’s such a weird fucking dude. I was afraid it was Morgan Wallen.

New Zach Bryan is fine, don’t love it or hate it, which is how I almost always feel with his material. Could def seeing him putting it all together eventually to put out something really special.
Same. The new No Depression review of his new one kind of hits the nail on the head for me. I think he’s got a classic in him, but he’s gotta settle down and let it bake.

Agree completely. His early releases were interesting mostly due to his backstory and I am happy that people like him can still make it big in the world of country music but none of his albums have wowed me.
