Country / Alt-Country / Roots / Americana

So, Childers is teasing new music (I assume). Do any of you recognize any of the people in this video, or have any guess as to what it might all mean? Tyler is looming in the background looking very clean cut. I'm still not used to it!

Looks to be most of his band The Food Stamps. I know I see his drummer Rod Elkins and his fiddler Jesse Wells looks to be in there as well. CJ Cain who was in the Wooks is also in there. He is the newest member of The Food Stamps.

Man, just like the recent Chuck Berry live release, I don't understand why Kristofferson's Live at Gilley's was released. Its a subpar performance. He sounds like hell and the band's levels seem out of whack. I'm sure there are better sounding shows that could have been dusted off.

This may not fit perfectly under the genres here, but very adjacent.

Surprise (and farewell) album from The Ghost of Paul Revere

Definitely fits here. Americana itself is kind of a catch all for stuff that is rootsy/almost country. I think this is probably closer to country than you think. It's like if Lumineers were a country band instead of a pop folk band.

Well, the Childers project is a triple LP: Hellelujah, Jubilee, and Joyful Noise. The track listing is the same on each record, and based upon the advanced single (Angel Band), which is out on Hallelujah and Jubilee, the Jubilee adds harmonica, horns, and backing choir... maybe the Joyful Noise is instrumentals?

It's hard to get sticker shock anymore, but $60.00 seems aggressive.

Was thinking just acoustic guitar and his vocals for Joyful Noise maybe.

I mashed buy either way. Love this dude so much
