December 2020 Challenge Thread: Let's Go Out With A Bang (The return of the raffle!)

Day 14: Decisions, Decisions

It’s impossible for me to choose just one, but if I had a list, this’d be way up there!

Otis Redding with Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Mar-Keys - Captured Live at The Monterey International Pop Festival

Great music, one of my favourite artists and the fact that this is still the only pressing of this record and it goes for pretty high prices now... yeah, I’d want to keep my hands on this one!

Day 10: First Day of Hanukkah

C A T C H U P !

Billy Joel - The Stranger

So I could have put this one on the previous day, but seeing as it has the connection I saved it. This was my late dad's pressing and I wanted to remember him
some for this post. The record is not out because he's been gone for about 12 years.... Some days I miss him more than others...

Day 14: Decisions, Decisions If you could only keep one...

I thought about this wayyy too long. I had to come to a way to make a decision so I am going with
The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street

I've been listening to a lot of Stones lately, and after giving my #1 ranking to Let it Bleed in my top 50, I'm out to prove myself wrong. So I will sit and listen to this gem over and over until it rises from 3rd to 1st.

This was almost my choices.

Day 15: National Lemon Cupcake Day

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (DJM Records, 1973 First Pressing)

This is a favourite in our house and for years Bennie And The Jets would be played on repeat whenever we go on car journeys. I actually really like the lesser-known songs as well, they really show off his fantastic songwriting.
