December Vinyl Spins Challenge

Day 15: Fuck Chad
Play a great audiophile pressing.

Great timing. I just made this post in another thread...

And here's one of the records that birthed that post. Just a pedestrian copy I purchased new at Schoolkids Records in Chapel Hill upon its release in 1980 and 44 years later it sounds spectacular.

Day 9: Gifts

Aretha Franklin
- Sparkle (Music from the Warner Bros. Motion Picture)

I don’t usually gift records to close friends & family as none of my friends are as into vinyl as I am & my dad doesn’t play his very often. This was an album I’d gifted @Poly-Rythmo for Secret Santa a couple years ago and it’s an album I should give more people, this combination of Aretha’s vocals & Curtis’ production is A1!
Day 9 - Gifts

Aretha Franklin - Sparkle

Right back at you @Wicked Dreamer - this was a fab choice that gets a lot of spins for me. Got my Mum over and so breaking this out right now. Thanks again for a great Secret Santa gift.

Day 13: Party Time

Jacob Miller - Natty Christmas

Playing sporadic catch up here. One of my very favourite Christmas albums, featuring one of my all-time best covers. As I've said before, perhaps the best thing about this is for a v long time both my kids would correct people singing "we wish you a Merry Christmas" by saying no, it's "we wish you an Irie Christmas" 😂
