That store used to be near my work. They have some great stuff but they rubbed me the wrong way awhile back because they were flipping their own RSD titles. They were selling for flipper prices within a few days after RSD. Haven't been back since although I should go check them out again. They have lots of decent deals on their discogs.

There is a AAA Kevin Gray/Steve Hoffman cut of Moondance on orange vinyl from Ebay too, though it's auction not buy now. Seems like the prices on that one have been around $80 on discogs so maybe this one can be had for less:

They are pretty much the only seller with the 2020 Kevin Grey version of Joni Mitchell's Blue, so in true flipper/gouger style they have upped the price on theirs to $149USD.

That was recut late 2019 or early 2020 by Gray with the same barcode but it’s still AAA I’m pretty sure, and sounds great. The 2007 cut is Hoffman and Gray. Can’t go wrong with either

I was a bit miffed about this. I purchased the blue vinyl version expecting it to be the KG cut, but it was a different release in Europe & now the KG cut is very expensive

Sounds on brand for that store from what I know of it. I might just go there in person one day and see what the prices are like. I’ve been really surprised how long they have stayed in business with some of their prices. The store is always jam packed with records and nobody buying them and real estate in Williamsburg, BK isn’t exactly cheap...

One of my new year vinyl resolutions was to quit VMP and roll that money into great pressings of classic albums. Last night I ordered the AP 45RPM of LA Woman and 45RPM Rumours from Plaid Room. Shipped today, excited to hear both.

I just got a copy of the Rumours 45 today. Just listening to it now. I haven't listened to this album for a few decades, I wasn't sure that I would like it anymore. I'm so glad I picked this up, love it. Sounds great.

Why can't they all be done like this. The records are flawless (Pallas is the best), and the packaging is perfect, lovely gatefold.

edit - the AP LA Woman is also on my want list. Weirdly it's one of the reasons I've stuck with VMP, I was hoping they would have it back their store at some point. I'll probably have to give up on that & pick up a copy from somewhere else.

I got the 33 RPM version of that Rumours, figured it sounds good enough to not have to upgrade to 45 RPM. I still see that one in record stores everywhere for like $22. I hope we get more widely available, cheap, AAA pressings of cornerstone classic rock records like that that stay in print. Used to be kinda common about 5-10 years ago but it seems like people are getting wise and eating them up, especially during the pandemic vinyl boom/production slowdown.

I’ve been buying up lots of the old Rhino AAAs of titles I like. That Rumours 45 was an Amazon accident awhile back. I think I paid $20 for it. It sounds fantastic.

Yeah a couple summers ago I tried to buy up all the AAA Rhino and cheap in-print classic rock reissues I could from Rhino, Neil Young, etc. Glad to see some of these getting represses like Rumours and John Prine and all the "Start Your Ear Off Right" and "Rocktober" variants. Hope we get more

It's really surprising to me that this pressing disappeared so fast! You'd think the decision to re-press would be based on a recognition of demand, and that would lead to trying to meet that demand. I wonder what the size of the pressing was, and when it first appeared in 2020. As far as I know, it wasn't until near the end of the year, so it dried up pretty quickly.
