Not sure, but I've got it too, it's great. Is the Paul Simon Graceland HQ180 cut by Ryan Smith AAA? I have that one....
How long until you all have 45 RPM copies of the US Press of rumours
Apparently the original's provenance is a little up in the air as well. Definitely wasn't all analogue from recording to master as there was a lot of digital editing, but it could have been put on an analog tape before being cut analog, it just wouldn't be AAA, technically. Just in case anyone thought the creation of that album was interesting, this article discusses it:Is the Paul Simon Graceland HQ180 cut by Ryan Smith AAA? I have that one....
I deleted most of my wantlist and now it’s mostly Kevin Gray and Rhino repressesDangerous, very dangerous. My Cogs want list has grown quite a bit recently.
I have the DCC Strange Days and think it sounds great. I think most of the other DCCs are out of reach for me now. I’m also not a HUGE Doors fan but I have started listening to them more. It's probably the best version you can conceivably buy right now a clean copy of, except maybe the DCC version which is supposed to be the tops ever for that album. I would still recommend the Doors s/t AP 45 if you want a great sounding copy. Not as good SQ as Morrison Hotel or LA Woman, but then again it wasn't recorded as well as those either.
One Step is real. But there’s no telling whether the process makes the difference or the vinyl formulation or both. They are expensive though.Assuming Bernie made notes! He probably had like two hours studio time at most to do it, maybe even less.
To be honest, I'm not on the One-Step fad. I would love for VMP to do a RKS AAA Way Out West.
Even just the Jazz Dispensary titles that VMP did are astronomically expensive. The same series from Craft directly was around $20-$25. I think I bought the Joe Henderson - The Elements Jazz Dispensary title (AAA from Craft with a nice jacket) for around $18 new.One Step is real. But there’s no telling whether the process makes the difference or the vinyl formulation or both. They are expensive though.
Odds are VMP would screw it up and overcharge while doing so.
That’s how I got mine, which is why I am stuck with the off-centre copy. Their international return/exchange options are horrific. Same with Music Direct. If Acoustic Sounds shipping to Canada wasn't so insane, I would already have it....
That was a great article. Thank you. I’ve got a Japanese Warner Brothers/Pioneer pressing that sounds quite good.Apparently the original's provenance is a little up in the air as well. Classic Tracks: Paul Simon 'You Can Call Me Al'
Paul Simon's Graceland album combined a huge mixture of musical styles and was recorded in studios all over the world. The man responsible for putting it all together, both sonically and physically, was Simon's long-time engineer Roy Halee. This is how he did it...www.soundonsound.com

Amazon or Walmart recently had it again for a good price. Almost bought another. This is dangerous information. Especially for someone who almost named his daughter Stevie.
Yeahhhhhhh so I paid $38 US for shipping, and $20 CAD in import fees, and their CS was a total shit show. Took over a month for them to even ship it. They oversold Dave Brubeck Time Out, in the month that they sat on the order so I didn’t get that one at all. Annnnnnnnnd they wanted me to pay return shipping to send Rumours back, which they were out of stock of, so they couldn’t even send a replacement. They suck. But are also amazing. SooooooWOW! You pay over $40 for shipping + import fees, and on top of that their CS is horrible? Holy fuck!
