I wouldn't say this is entirely true. While Walmart doesn't have their own pressing plant, what they do have is massive corporate pressure because of the size of their distribution. Many of theirs tend to be pressed at better plants than some other variants, as with the new Dirt release not all variants get pressed at the same plant with the same plates. And while some of their variants are certainly luck of the draw as you state, they've used their corporate muscle to secure some exclusives that others can't press (yet). Having worked on the corporate contract side of the supply chain before, I can guarantee that they are getting priority and special treatment from some of the plants, because the size of their orders dwarfs what most places can do, so the contracts are huge and worth going the extra mile to make sure they keep coming back. They don't get plates, because Walmart doesn't press anything. Variants are all done when the plates are in play for regular versions and the colored loser editions. Total randon luck if a pressing bought at Walmart is better than any other, or it may have to do with the press run fotr that particular color.
