I'll probably stick with my 2017 AAA (side one) KPG cut to stick to a holiday vinyl diet.
Pretty sure that 2017 isn’t AAA (and not KPG)? The last AAA cut was the AP.

I can't say definitively, the comments and replies here suggest AAA on side 1.

Of course, we have some discussion at SHF:

This is a great overview of the many colored vinyl reissues by year & vendor:

Comments here seem to shed some light that only the AP is fully analog:

I was mistaken about KPG, mea culpa.

I have the 2021 VMP version and am quite happy with it, but of course had to get the KG version...I think mine may arrive today from Amazon! Interesting that the AMS one may be AAA on one side.

What's odd is that some have Greensleeves and some do not.
My old 1988 repress does include it

There's a Blu-Ray / Atmos mix set with loads of out-takes... I don't know that I love it that much, haha

If I see this one at Target I might have to get it... that vinyl is pretty!

christmas came early.....the boomboom cut of Charlie Brown Chrimbo arrived last night! the deluxe comes with craft-branded rice paper inners in a gatefold jacket. i'll need to compare it to my other copies but on first listen, it sounds great.

here's a bunch of info about the release:

It sounds verrrry good. I bought this since my AP copy was getting worn. My daughter and wife play this over and over during Christmastime so I just wanted a copy I could play to death and be able to replace at some point if needed. This Craft reissue sounds very similar to the AP. I’ve never had another vinyl pressing. It’s definitely cleaned up compared to the AP. I don’t hear tape hiss and the instruments are clear as they’ve ever sounded. Honestly, I actually might prefer this version. Only wish was that the jacket was a heavy duty stoughton tip on style gatefold. I would’ve paid another $5-10 for that. At any rate, get this version.

I am really liking it too. I have to dig out my VMP pressing, but the instruments are very clear and separation is great on this one.. I probably won't listen to the demos disc too much but it is fun to give them a listen and hear how different some of the takes and versions of songs are. I just wish it had Greensleeves on it!

This tribute is fun, not on vinyl at this time (that I could find)

Greensleeves on the album proper? Because it is included in the bonus disc with Take 6 of the cut but yeah I grew up listening to the cd that had greensleeves at the end of the album as well.

This is the copy that I have, curious if the new 2LP version will be a huge improvement or just stick with what I have?

I have this one and it's perfectly fine. It sounds excellent and I spin it twice a year tops.

Same here, very happy with it; bought at the Covert sale earlier this year.

This older copy I picked up cheap has Greensleeves if I feel the need to hear it:

was a discussion about this one a little bit a page or two back. that one seems to be AAA on side A and digital on side B to fix some tape dropouts. @marshall is probably right in that it's probably an album most people listen to once or twice a year so you'll probably be more than fine with it. I'll try to do a back to back listen of this new one and the 2021 VMP i have. I'll likely give one to my brother. The 2021 was an improvement over my 1988 pressing. And on first listen I wanna say this new version was better than the 2022 but has been over a year since I listened to the VMP one.

It's my favorite christmas album of all time, so I do like trying to get the best one that's affordable. worth noting that this is a remix:

"Craft chose to have Blakemore remix the album from the original 3-track, 1/2 inch analog-tape, session recordings because the original stereo mix masters have suffered deterioration due to their age and repeated use. The 1/2 inch, 3-track tapes are all in very good condition because they have only been played a few times back when the original album was recorded and mixed in 1964-1965. Most of the alternate or developmental takes had never been mixed to stereo."

upcoming MoFi restock! @Joe Mac you can look at this one!!
