I'm kidding who's Yaz
Not sure if you're joking, but it's an early 80's synthpop band started by Vince Clarke after he left Depeche Mode, with Alison Moyet on vocals. If you're a fan of DM's Speak & Spell, it's worth checking out.
Know as Yazoo over here…
That's right... I believe the japanese pressing I got has them as Yazoo as well. The MOFI Upstairs At Eric's (which sounds great) is under Yaz IIRC.
I hear you're buying a synthesizer and an arpeggiator and are throwing your computer out the window because you want to make something real. You want to make a Yaz record.I'm kidding who's Yaz
As a technical director I'd like to hear more about this "throwing computers out the window" thing. It's giving me tingles.I hear you're buying a synthesizer and an arpeggiator and are throwing your computer out the window because you want to make something real. You want to make a Yaz record.
Talk to James Murphy, I have yet to (purposefully) destroy a computer. As a technical director I'd like to hear more about this "throwing computers out the window" thing. It's giving me tingles.
My intro to Yaz came through The Americans…
That show made some excellent musical selections throughout its run.
I wanna say that was the first episode pilot. That is one of the best musical action sequences ever. What season opened with the action soundtracked by Tusk? That scene stuck with me over the years.

You don’t have to worry about me, haha! Their shipping charges to the US of $18 for the first record and $5 for each additional record just add up much too fast (and too high) for my liking, so I’ll be sticking with Record City. What costs me about $15-16 to ship from RC would cost $38 from Ella.Yep aaaaand as I suspected that's the same one I had in my cart.
You know what? All that praise I had for Ella? I was lying, Ella sucks. Everyone stop ordering from them now please.
It even introduced me to a kick ass country song, which was not something I was expecting at all.Soooo good! My wife even commented on how good the music selections were and she rarely does that.
Any of y'all have a good Japanese copy of Let It Bleed? Or just a good copy in general?
I finally gave up and grabbed this one for like $16...Any of y'all have a good Japanese copy of Let It Bleed? Or just a good copy in general?
