It took me all of 1 minute of switching back and forth between them to call it. 71 reissue doesn’t sound bad by any means, but the MoFo is really clear and detailed. haha i know. the earlier pressings don't sound bad. just teasing ya. for $40 (if you get a clean one) the MoFi of this title is great IMO.
yep. systems and ears definitely play a role. and preferences. lots of people have hate boners for MoFi too though especially now so that can color judgement sometimes. if you're happy with your copy that's all that matters! i probably didn't need to upgrade the IASW I had but am glad i have the MoFi. i don't think i would have paid the crazy resale prices on it but glad it's back in print. hopefully people get replacement copies if they had issues.
I thought the MoFi is pretty much a large compact disc?
Same specs as the SACD, just mastered for vinyl? Also, they added distortion and seam splits for some, free of charge.
