Definitive Audiophile pressings

My MoFi IASW has some rotational clicks/distortion on Side B as well. It's not terrible, hoping it's just static. I'll wash it again.

Random comment on IASW. When Mosaic did their box of the sessions, there was a pressing problem with one of the discs (I'd have to pull it out when I'm at home but I think it was the album itself). I know because all Scott could do at the time is give me a credit for the one album of the set. Eh.

MD wrote me back saying they’d grant me a one time full refund. I’m going to take it as I think a $40 record should not have this type of flaw.
I don't know how they can say a one time refund when they sold a defective product.
I would just phone the cc company and be like.
This charge is for a defective product. 2 mins later. It's off my statement.
I would provide some emails that I tried to remedy with the vendor and that's the end of that. I don't know which would actually eat the charge but wouldn't be me.

The Stones Mono repress is coming up for delivery.

This article is pretty cool journalism/interview on the tape history.

I bought all the monos that I needed from someone breaking them out on eBay for less than $200. The only one I want is the Stray Cats comp which was never up for sale haha! Really wish I could get that to fill out my mono albums. The mono albums are definitely the way to go with the early albums through Their Satanic Majesties Request.

Looks like a nice set. I would take the black vinyl over the skittles coming end of month but can't be picky after missing the first round.

I had this when it first came out, sounded pretty good, but there was a lot of double ups between the albums and Early Stones is not really my thing ,
Makes sense.
I don’t consider myself a die hard fan either.

Thought I would give it a whirl and see how it sounds.
16 LPs is a shit load to add for the sale price.

I hate this stuff. Yeah it’s probably not passive-aggressive but it sure comes off that way. God forbid us peasants should be entitled to a refund on our money for a damaged/defective item. It’s not like they don’t sell returns locally in their warehouse anyway.

Weren’t those originally mastered at Sterling? I feel like Sterling in the late 70s put out some of the best sounding standard vinyl you can buy.
Yes they were in the US. But those are starting around $75+ on discogs so wasn’t sure if there were any other great sounding reissues out there.
