Definitive Audiophile pressings

Yep if you go to his site and look at the records you'll see a link to a form with everything listed. His prices include tax, but shipping is $20. But the prices are lower than normal.
Thought I'd chime in. It's John with The Sound Choice. Shipping for a single record is $20; however, if you buy a boxset and/or two or more records (no limit), I charge a flat rate of $25 for shipping across Canada. All shipments go Expedited Parcel. Trackable and fully insured.

There ya go, go to this man's website and buy everything. He has the largest selection of audiophile albums and labels I've seen outside of the big big stores like Acoustic Sounds/Music Direct and he's having a massive sale and tax is included.

Also the gear is out of this world, and he's a really nice guy.

GO FORTH AND PURCHASE.

Oh!? You just emailed him? I keep checking his site to see if anything shows up.
This is John from The Sound Choice. While I stock a selection of titles from the major audiophile labels, including Analogue Productions, Groove Note, Impex, MOFI, Pure Pleasure Records, Sam Records, Speakers Corner, The Lost Recordings, to name a few, with respect to the Atlantic 75 Series, I'm only ordering based on customer pre-orders. Given the expanse of the collection and uncertainty as to what might be popular or in demand, as a small business, this was deemed to be the best approach.

When you place an order, I in turn immediately place an order with my supplier to ensure an allocation when the titles get released. As most of you likely know, three titles were released on October 6th, and the next batch of three come out on November 3rd.

Thanks John! I’m still deciding from the list but I’ll send you something soon. I’ve already ordered a bunch from you and you always do awesome by me (I’m up in Gatineau- not sure how many customers you have up here, but I’m one of them)!

Ended up with STP Purple (I have a copy that's decent enough but it could definitely use an upgrade) and a bunch of Phil Collins (Face Value and a couple Genesis - S/T and A Trick Of The Tail). I was a big Phil Collins fan back in the 80's, starting from when my uncle PIF'ed me his copy of A Trick Of The Tail because it had a scratch (which as a kid didn't bother me one bit).

I resisted with the INXS since I already have a 2x45 half-speed which is pretty darn good and should be enough for me even if I expect this to be better. Was close with Shotgun Willie as well, but I probably would prefer getting a 33rpm of that.

For those who don't want to watch Chad's latest video.....I have taken a hit for the team.

here are the cliff notes:

*new title added to the AP Atlantic 75 45rpm series. Billy Cobham - Spectrum.

*Face Value by Phil Collins will not be repressed apparently. Buy now cry later and all that. Will not be on SACD.

*Boz Skaggs will be the original mix, not the 1976 remix.

*Chris Bellman is cutting Genesis. Trick of the Tail will be new cut. Most of the Genesis titles are from the classic records plates but some were damaged so will be recut.

*Otis Blue is the same AP plates.

*Dusty Springfield has a new gatefold and will have 3 bonus tracks vs the AP.

*There will be a modern artist reissue being announced soon in the series cut from hi-res digital.

*Blues and Roots and Prine are pressed at RTI (with first 2,000 at QRP). Everything else so far will be QRP.

Chad also claims he will familiarize himself with more 90s and 2000s titles and try to do more of that music. He has probably seen how well stuff like STP is selling and has dollar signs in his eyes.

Still better than Counting Crows.

(i'm kiddinggggg although I do like that CC album)

Considering how well-tread all that 60's and 70's stuff is at this point (several of the Atlantic 75 were already done by audiophile labels), looking into the 90's and 2000's should be a no-brainer. Beyond the STP, I'm sure the White Stripes will also make him some good money considering both the mark-up and the fact that it's a damn good pressing.

FYI - Re Otis Blue, vocals are heavily panned to one channel, like a lot of Otis "stereo" mixes. If that's not an issue for you, then the rest of the mix does sound great. Drives me crazy though...

yes--great point. this is a record that should be listened to in mono. it drives me crazy as well and i never spin it anymore. i don't understand why Chad refuses to do the monos for Otis (maybe he just can't get the mono tapes...).
