Definitive Audiophile pressings

What's the consensus on the clear vinyl pressing of Harvest Moon by Neil Young? I believe the source material is 16bit/44kHz digital files. Should I just opt for the CD? Any one own this record and want to comment on the sound/pressing quality? Looks like it is cut by Chris Bellman. No clue where it was pressed.

Edit: the RSD version from 2017 looks to be a Record Industry pressing, so probably the same for the clear reissue.

Just threw mine on (its on black vinyl). Unsure if its the RSD one as I don't remember buying it on RSD but could be! but its a 2LP with etching on side D and UPC/runouts matches the RSD one.

RI is consistently one of my favorite plants. It's a Bellman cut. listening on headphones and it sounds pretty solid to me, like most Neil reissues. Somehow didn't have this in my discogs. As for whether or not it's better on CD, no clue, but it's a pretty nice pressing so far through half of side A.

I bought a cheap copy of Harvest off Amazon earlier this year to replace my beaten up original copy and this was the copy that showed up. Smoked the original I had (which admittedly wasn't in great shape). Highly recommend this one if you can find it, but it also seems like there are so many pressings of this one out there, it's pretty much Harvest Roulette as to what shows up.

That’s the one I have too. I remember it sounding very good.

Just to add to this, I have a different 2009 pressing, but it's also Chris Bellman and also sounds great.

@zdkaiser I really can't think of many recent Neil reissues that sound bad (I think maybe there's one live album from a bootleg that didn't sound great to me). even with digitally sourced stuff he still puts a lot of effort into his reissues and they are usually Bellman + pressed at good plants.
Yeah, I agree.

I'm just teetering on this Harvest Moon pressing because I really enjoy the album and it's $29 via the Plaidroom sale. I think I might pass on it, show some restraint and avoid the FOMO, and just find a cheap used CD copy for like $3.

I'm happy with this Dusty (thanks, Insound at 8 buck, RIP)

Bellman / RTI

I haven't compared with better cuts.
That's the one (of two) that I have. Very good.

"better cuts" - don't know what you mean. This is a better cut.

Audiophile repress public service announcement. The current EU Optimal repress of Mazzy Star So Tonight that I Might See is very good and LIGHT YEARS better than the previous US pressing. Highly recommend.

Second note, the newest Fleetwood Mac Rumours 45 Pallas pressing is much improved over the previous run that were warped, off centre and covered in pops and noise. It still isn't perfect as I suspect the plates might be a little worn at this point, but much much better than my 2021 Pallas 45 copy.

I might have to grab that Mazzy Star…the last press I had was cheeks. Is there a new UPC or anything? Where’d ya buy it from?

Same UPC. Make sure it's the EU and it has a "Made in Germany" sticker on the back of the shrink. I got it from a local, but only one of my locals had it so I think it was imported.
I recently got that Mazzy Star album but not sure what pressing it is. It sounded quite good to me but definitely could’ve benefited from being spread across 2 LPs. Also, She Hangs Brightly needs a reissue badly.
