Definitive Audiophile pressings

The European press of OKNOTOK done at optimal is ok, not at Parlophone levels but not bad all things considered.

The original self released diskbox of In Rainbows is one of the best pressings that I own of any album, I actually think that only the one step BOTT is better...

Do you have both the OKNOTOK and the Parlophone OK Computers?

I'll wait to see what the copy I got sounds like, but those parlophone ones are still decently affordable if that doesn't work out.

To tell the truth, I kind of want the extra tracks from OKNOTOK. They're really great.

I had the Parlophone, when I bought OKNOTOK I PIF’d it on the old forum 🤦🏻

Being relatively new I PIF’d it to a first time poster who never offered anything in return and never posted again.

It’s one of two situations that are why I can be a bit strict and grouchy with people who take the piss in the PIF thread.

A heads-up that the Kevin Gray Astral Weeks is discounted at Pop Market today:

(Along with a bunch of other stuff, including KPG versions of Talking Heads: 77 and Morrison's His Band & the Street Choir):

I really like that His Band album. All the KG Van Mo sounds great.

popmarket has the buy 2 and buy 3 sales going on now too. So if you pick up a couple can save 15-20% on top I think

I'm not sure that buy 2/3 sale is still going on--no indication of it on the website. But discount code THANKS10 is active if you're logged in (works on pre-orders, like the Neil Young 'Way Down in the Rust Bucket).

EDIT: I'm wrong. The 2/3 sale ends tomorrow night. Codes are SPIN10 (two in-stock items) and SPIN15 (three in-stock items).

Oops, double post since I got confused about what thread I was in.

The Love - Forever Changes in the popmarket sale is another great audiophile Chris Bellman.

How are Colemine with replacements? My Grant Green arrived with some scratches seemingly. Getting consistent clicking noises on multiple passages through out side A :/. Super bummed cause it sounds ridonkulous

Went through all the albums listed for "Sunday" sale on Popmarket. Lots of Rhino reissues. But since there's a lot of attention here to who's doing the mastering, here's the breakdown for a few big names:

Kevin Gray: Five albums
Van Morrison - His Band and the Street Choir
- Astral Weeks
Prince - Purple Rain
Talking Head - Talking Heads 77
John Prine - Diamonds in the Rough

Bernie Grundman: Four albums
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
Doors - Waiting for the Sun
Buffalo Springfield - Buffalo Springfield Again
Kate Bush - Lionheart

Chris Bellman: Three albums
Van Halen - Fair Warning
Love - Forever Changes
Emmylou Harris/Linda Ronstdat/Dollly Parton - Trio II

That Talking Heads and both Van Mo albums are great.

Too hard for me to resist the '77 and Diamonds in the Rough for about the same price as the hole my VMP cancellation left in my "budget." Both have been on my wantlist forever for originals but never got around to them.

I believe that Forever Changes and Astral Weeks are on that AAA Fremer list that was posted again recently fwiw.
