Don’t have the AP, but I can confirm that the VMP Headhunters is one of the best in my collection. All types of details revealed themselves to me for the first time with that pressing. The whole Herbie Box as a whole is glorious.

I'm in the same boat as you. Got seam splits on the top, bottom, and inside the gatefold. Got the same response. WIll just have to wait several months probably for a new jacket, but it's nice of them to give us the same foil stamped number on the jacket anyhow. Definitely enjoying the vinyl in the meantime.
 
Alright folks, The Who Live at Leeds... 3LP Abbey Road pressed at GZ (fuck) or single LP pressed at Optimal (also fuck). Thoughts? They seem to be the same master? Anyone have either?

I would think they would be different masters, just done at the same time, since the 3lp set is expanded from the original. I have not heard either but the few Abbey Road half speeds I have heard (all Optimal pressings) have sounded good. Don't think they are AAA if that is important to you.

Well I had copped a MOFI Nilsson recently, that I mentioned here and in Fresh Grabs. I bought it from a reseller. I got it for $87. More than I usually like to pay but I can eat it cause I'm usually pretty good about not missing the boat on limited stuff.

It can with a pretty good corner bend and a large seam split.

Tangent - props to the Discogs seller. They gave me a partial refund that brought my buy in to $62. I offered them pics of the damage and they just took my word for it. Super friendly and apologetic.

Anyway, I reached out to MOFI w low expectations. But they said to send them images of the damage and one of the number stamp. Seems I'm going to be getting a replacement jacket with the same number. Since I didn't buy from them I'll have to pay shipping.

Honestly I expected crickets since I didn't buy from them. At best I thought maybe I'd get an unnumbered jacket.

Just ordered Dave Digs Disney from Analog Spark, looks to be a RKS repress of the Barnes and Noble exclusive. Glowing reviews on Hoffman, and a very fun album. Brubeck playing Disney tune covers, really solid.

I wish the other BFF pressings were cheaper/easier to find. Blasting Reinhold really brought me back haha. I just saw that he's playing a venue that I can walk to from my new house so I might have to grab some tix!
