Definitive Audiophile pressings

Craft has been putting out great RSD stuff for a few years now. I remember last year they had those Parish Hall and Booker T. & The MG's all analog releases that went fast, and the year before the highly acclaimed Born Under a Bad Sign AAA mono, plus the Violent Femmes' 2nd album which was a hot commodity. Quiet Kenny is a big title in the jazz community, ERC did a $300 reissue of it not long ago. AAA jazz albums are few and far between on RSD, so it's no surprise at all that it was a highly sought after release.
Yea--they have been killing it. I grabbed that Chet Baker mono RSD item and it's still cheap to get last I checked.

Hoping that gets a One Step treatment...I regret missing out on that one.
I feel like it was a test run for the one steps. The packaging is almost identical, but it's a digital master so I'm not certain they could do a one step with it. Not sure if the analog masters exist. But they certainly might.

Theoretically you can because the one step bit is just to do with the pressing so it’s after the mastering. Doesn’t matter whether the lacquer was mastered and cut from A or D. Whether a label would decide that it’s worth it is another matter.

It's also taken up most of my ebay and discogs sale listings...this one was popular because it was very limited + Craft has become popular with flippers as well sadly. My discogs sale email last night had probably 15 copies all listed as "great price!" at $100+
Jeez, you guys are making me feel really bad for missing out on this. :( Where was all this chatter before Saturday? ;) (It's probably back in the thread and I just glossed over it.)

I’m pretty bummed I missed out on Quiet Kenny. I couldn’t grab a copy anywhere and that usually isn’t too much of an issue. I have an OJC of it and it’s a great stereo cut too so I’m sure I’ll grab a stereo Craft if that ever happens.

The Quiet Kenny demand in the RSD Wanted thread certainly threw me sideways, it ended up the most demanded item before RSD started and honestly as the day went on. I think only Zevon and Linkin Park (now that's a trio...) had 3+ requests in there in advance of the day.

So Rogue Planet Music got an insane haul of old MoFis in VG+/NM condition. I just grabbed Alice Cooper and Fleetwood Mac self-titled from them, but they have TONS of others. Their initial post said in-store only, but they told me I could buy and ship and to feel free to spread the link around. Prices seem to be around discogs median from the few titles I asked about.

@Crabbers this might interest ya

how do you access what they're selling?

They posted a bunch of those pics on their instagram so I just messaged them asking what prices were on a few I was interested in and they got back to me. You could also probably give them a call. They had 100 MoFis in so not sure they will give you the entire list but I asked for a few specifics from the pictures and they got back to me right away.
