In my opinion, no. The MOFI is a much more recent remastering, taken from the analog 3 track remix. Although I very much prefer 33, the MOFI is still my go-to. BTW I had the Classic KOB - same stampers\mastering as the UHQR - and dumped it in a hot second once I got the MOFI.Those that own both : does Kind of Blue MoFi now get superceded by the UHQR?
I haven't A/B'd them, but I liked the UHQR better from what how I could remember the MoFi sounding. I'll keep both though. Those that own both : does Kind of Blue MoFi now get superceded by the UHQR?
You guys are great as always! Local has the latest Concord/Craft and delivers, sounds like that should be ok for me.
I very much preferred the UHQR to the MoFi but I’m sure it all comes down to preference. The MoFi just sounded kind of weird to me. I liked my Classic Records issue better than the MoFi and the UHQR is basically the same mastering as the Classic Records. Those that own both : does Kind of Blue MoFi now get superceded by the UHQR?

Heresy - I actually listen to the 24\192 digital more, taken beautifully from the analog remix. A- fucking- mazing.
I have the MOV. It's clean as they all tend to be from that label but you can tell it's digital. Pretty flat in general. I also have the KPG mono RSD which is really good and cheap (but not as clean). I also have the MOFI which is really really good. I do not have the UHQR 33 because it costs double the price of the Mofi 45 in Canada and that seemed a little out of whack to me.I wanted the MOFI for a very long time but always seems to be out of stock here. Anyway it came back in stock at a store here so I just bought it (can always cancel it).
A few weeks I found this MOV Version for real cheap. It's got good reviews but it's supposedly a digital transfer from original tapes. I still have to listen to it but I think I'll keep this one as a well since there are the extra tracks.

Or you will get this and decide you need his entire discography and in about a month NightMather is contemplating whether or not to purchase of copy of Live At Massey Hall for $200.The fancy tape compiled Neil Young Greatest Hits is out for delivery. As a good Canadian it felt weird not having a single one of his albums. So I'll just get this and call it a day.
I mean having been to Massey Hall, in fact having PLAYED on stage at Massey Hall, this is not outside the realm of possibility.Or you will get this and decide you need his entire discography and in about a month NightMather is contemplating whether or not to purchase of copy of Live At Massey Hall for $200.
It’d probably get more spins than Meow The Jewels.I mean having been to Massey Hall, in fact having PLAYED on stage at Massey Hall, this is not outside the realm of possibility.

YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTHIt’d probably get more spins than Meow The Jewels.
Honestly, I know he's great, but like many others, I struggle with the voice. Just don't really like listening to his singing timbre.Of all the artists that deserve more than a token greatest hits in your collection its gotta be Neil

check your alerts you! heheYou guys inspired me to A/B Big Star #1 Record pressings last night. The Craft is great, but def get the Bellman cut. That one is really awesome.
Yeah I've seen a few shows there and it's definitely one of the best if not the best sounding venue in the city. It's actually just undergone a huge reno so I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done when it reopens.Man, that is one great sounding hall if you ever been there! For others, Is this the show same as the Journeys DVD that Demme put together ? I really enjoyed watching that recently.
