Definitive Audiophile pressings

stupid technology! yea that's definitely what is happening. looked at his posts in a mofi sell group i'm in and they say 70CAD for the Dylan but says $61 on mine.
Honestly I didn't even know that sites did that. Especially not simple little webshops like his. I hate it that they never identify whether you're seeing CAD or USD, it's caught me a few times.

must be a google chrome thing for me or something...

You can pre-order any and all rumored titles from MoFi through MD by calling them. No need to hunt around. It's $124.99 shipped I believe if you call. Assuming you are talking about the One Step? Can order any of the One Steps even if they aren't 100% locked in yet. People had preordered the ELO One Step after it was unofficially announced. You can also preorder the Supervinyl of Crosby if you feel so inclined.
What ELO One Step?

Thats not the one with Mr Blue Sky either is it? Damn fools 😂
haha that's Out of the Blue. Mr. Blue Sky is one of my favorite songs of theirs but I think Eldorado would have been a pretty awesome One Step. I'd love to see them do any of the ELO albums really....was excited for that one.

Yeah the one album that would benefit from the One Step the most is Eldorado. Too bad it got scrapped.

I had heard earlier this year that it was back on, then I went to preorder it the other week along with the Somethin Else one step and they said it looks like it was cancelled again. I was debating placing a preorder on the From Elvis in Memphis One Step but picked up the Speakers Corner instead for a good deal.

The SC From Elvis In Memphis is quite good. Definitely a great option if you want a copy and save some funds for different titles.

Well I did a thing... and have some records coming from Japan now. I realize that somehow I didn't have a copy of The Wall anymore. Must have lost it in a move...so I went for the 40AP1750 japanese pressing. And grabbed a copy of Zeppelin II. Shipping prices are way more reasonable than I would have expected. They had a lot that I might eventually want to go for, but kept it to those 2 for now!
What year/catalog number of Zeppelin II did you order? My dad's old US Zepps are meh, so I'm intrigued by the Japanese Zepps.

I grabbed this one. It's the japanese first pressing. It's tricky to figure out which ones are best in some cases since everyone seems to have some pretty strong opinions of japanese pressings on hoffman, which for better or worse is my typical source for pressing info/reviews.

Pressed at Nippon Grammophon Co., love that name!

I've gone down the Prine route, I didn't really know him but got hooked after listening to the Tree of Forgiveness when that came out, I struggled to pick up Prine on Vinyl, but the last year or so has seen so many re-issues. The RSD box is stellar.
It took me forever to track down a copy of Prime Prine on vinyl which was the go-to for my girlfriend since her parents always played it in car rides on family trips. I slowly started picking up more and more OG copies when I found them for good deals. Fast-forward to the past year or so and Boom Boom just decides to cut copies of a bunch and they all start getting really great reissues.

I was thinking of starting my Prine journey with the vulnerability of the Tree of Forgiveness LP and Crooked Piece of Time cd box, any thoughts on those and other suggestions that are regularly available now appreciated.

I'm full of cold, which being a man means I'm incapacitated and rendered completely useless. I tried watching this video comparing Tea for the Tillerman pressings. I'm sure he is making a lot of sense, but can't quite make out what. I think he's saying the MofI is the best. His spectral analysis looks great but 🤷‍♂️

I found the recent new Cat mixes very enlightening and enjoyable on digital if that helps.
