Definitive Audiophile pressings

Is there any noticeable difference between the Head Hunters AP 33 or 45?

Making my pre-price increase AS order and debating this one. Only the 45 is in stock, and with only four songs the inconvenience of the 45 seems to be minor for this album. But not sure if it’s worth waiting for the next 33 pressing.

I have the 33 and it is phenomenal. I really don't feel the need to "upgrade". Though when I ordered only the 33 was in stock, otherwise I would have gone with 45. I always go to 45 when there is an option between the 2.

I mean if you don't have either, get the 45 I'm sure. But if you have the 33 already, I'm questioning if it's THAT big of a difference to upgrade. Probably not. Unless you really want a better sounding version bad because you love that record so much.

It just came out this month. Barnes and Noble had their own blue vinyl variant that came out back in July then the wide release was recently.
There's a pretty incredible story tied up to it that might interest you.

Nina was actually born Eunice Kathleen Waymon and learnt the piano playing gospel music at her mothers Church (her mother was a Methodist minister, and her father was a handyman and preacher). When she got older she started getting interested in jazz and would perform in a nightclub in Atlantic City, using the name Nina Simone so her family wouldn't find out (they wouldn't want their daughter to play 'the Devils music'. She was clearly one hell of a pianist but women performers in clubs were expected to sing at the time, so she added that to her repertoire. Ironically it was her singing that enabled her to sell the rights to 'Little Girl Blue' to Bethlehem (for $3,000) and she ended up making over $1million in royalties alone.

So there's my random story for the day.

Raise prices? Really!? Do tell...
