Definitive Audiophile pressings

Thanks for all the recommendations friends! Definitely swiping LA Woman and already have some that have been recommended here. Trying to decide on Headhunters atm! Is the 45RPM 1 song per side? If thats the case I will probably just wait for the 33RPM to come back in stock. Will probably just wait for the Blue Note classics reissue of Idle Moments as well. Leaning heavy towards picking up Oscar Peterson's We Get Requests, so many options ooooooo

Legrand Jazz, Ella’s Let No Man Write My Epitaph, and Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges Back to Back are now creeping into the rear view 😭

That is next on my to-buy list. Gets rave reviews, and you can tell just by listening to it on spotify or wherever that it is an ridiculously good, audiophile recording.

LA Woman or which one?

EDIT: I see what you did there! I feel the same way, those piano chords come through really crispy. I feel the same way about Back to Back, it sounds phenomenal on Spotify, I can see it just screaaaaaming through the speakers.

The Blue Note APs are all awesome too from my experience. I picked up a bunch when they had that big sale last year I think.

Just picked up my 1st Mobile Fidelity recording.
Must say, the sound is frikin awesome!!
Is this the standard of their pressings? It knocks the Accoustic Solution pressings out of the park!
I have my eye on the Kind of blue 45 one but are there any others I should keep an eye out for?

All the Dylan mofis are special. Bill Withers greatest hits, Carole King Tapestry, Weezer & Aretha Gold.

Am I a moron or is there no way to buy Speaker Corner's records from their website?
From AS? or directly from SC? SC is located in Europe so it's typically not very cheap to order from there and you're better off finding a US distributor like Plaid Room or MD.

All of the Norah Jones AP releases sound great, and Counting Crows debut is amazing.

Yeah I meant SC directly but the advice is much appreciated, will check out those outlets!

Anyone own the AP Tokyo Blues - Horace Silver. Such an overlooked album I feel like, they are on fire for this session. Might have to snag it before it goes OOS, its reading as "Limited Stock" on AS.

Yea--I have found even with sales, it's cheaper to buy through other outlets in the US because SC is based in Europe and their shipping has always been pricey.

Y’all lol. I need help. My audiophile Christmas haul is current locked in 3/4.

1. LA Woman
2. Ella Fitzgerald - Here Comes Charlie (worst album art I’ve ever seen I think)
3. Alice Phoebe Lou - Glow
4. ~insert jazz title~

That last spot is a toss up between the following:

1. Oscar Peterson - We Get Requests (AP)
2. Duke Ellington & Johnny Hodges - Back To Back (AP)
3. Horace Silver - Tokyo Blues (AP)

I can not for the life of me whittle down this selection. Someone make the decision for me

Received the 50th anniversary reissue of The Kinks Lola versus Powerman Part 1 and was surprised to see it's AAA and Kevin Gray/mastered + cut!
Unfortunately GZ pressed. Lots of complaints about this one already that I've seen. But my buddy has a copy that he said is totally clean and obviously mastered very well so... Have a listen to yours. It's the only big one that my Kinks box is missing... I want it but also... I know what will happen if I get it.

Record is flat and side one is quiet and flawless so far but I'm sure I'm going to jinx it for side 2. I grabbed it from the Target Sale for around $15 too so quite happy so far!

Listening right now to my flat, very quiet copy (also a Target bargain) and couldn’t be happier. Really enjoying the booklet as well. I’ve had a US first pressing of this for quite a while and while that one sounds pretty good also, it isn’t nearly this quiet!😃
